First *Official* post

Well hello there.

Since I started utilising the networking service Twitter in January (After joining initially in October 08), it became apparent fairly quickly that I would need an area of the web to jot down thoughts/ideas that was would require more length and explanation than the 140 characters limit of Twitter will allow. Hence, I created this WordPress.com blog.

Truth be told this isn’t my first attempt at starting a blog, but as the furthest I got last time was writing the title, I’d say actually making a post is a major improvement. Even with my best intentions to continue this, I thought I’d best start with a standard WordPress.com blog, as opposed to self-hosting a site myself. At least this gives me some flexibility as if I don’t continue then nothing has been lost, and if by some miracle it turns out to be a success I can export everything to my own hosted site (So I believe). Before I forget, credit to the Chris Unitt blogpost on “Standard changes to a free WordPress blog” it was most useful.

I’m still trying to figure out how best to use this software (And what to write about), as well as how best to document my posts/thoughts, so please expect regular edits to my post at the start as I correct the issues (Most likely spelling).

Please let me know any comments/suggestions as I would love to hear them and I’ll try and keep up my blogging efforts. To end, here is a picture of my gerbil, Tigger… she has a poorly nose
